The Eau Claire library hosted the Raptor Education Group, Inc. on Monday, bringing a captivating display of native birds to a packed audience. The nonprofit organization, based in Antigo, Wisconsin, specializes in rehabilitating and educating the public about these winged creatures.

The "Winged Wonders" event at the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library offered area residents a unique opportunity to witness the power and grace of five different birds of prey. Attendees were treated to up-close encounters with a red-tailed falcon, an eastern screech-owl, and an American kestrel, all permanent residents of the Raptor Education Group.These raptors, often seized from illegal pet owners or too injured to be released back into the wild, served as ambassadors for their species, captivating the audience with their striking features and impressive abilities.
